青の洞窟と呼ばれるダイビングスポット

ダイバーが見る海の世界は違います。
ダイビングと言うと、一般の人にはハードルの高い趣味です。ダイビングは釣りやサーフィンに比べると、経費が掛かります。さらに水深１０ｍ以上の海を潜るわけですから、もし万が一の事故が起きたら、死の危険もあります。しかし、得られる体験は非常に貴重な物です。海の上から見る海の世界と海の中から見る海の世界は、雲泥の差があります。ダイビングで海の中を見ると、魚を始めとした多くの生き物、様々な地形、沈没船などの人工物など様々な光景を目にすることができます。本当に素晴らしい世界なので、是非とも多くの方に体験して欲しいと思います。しかし前述の通り、ダイビングはハードルの高い趣味です。体験ダイビングが観光地で行われていたとしても、やはり二の足を踏んでしまうでしょう。海の中の様子だけなら、YouTubeでもダイバーが撮影した海中映像を見ることができます。しかし海中映像では、その場の臨場感がありません。

ダイビングスポットには、「青の洞窟」が日本各地にあります。北海道の小樽市から岩手県の浄土ヶ浜、佐渡島、沖縄県石垣島など、数多くあり、多くのダイバーが楽しんでいます。静岡県熱海市にも、同様のスポットがあります。「小曽我洞窟」と呼ばれ、１１月から４月までの期間限定でダイビングが出来るようです。もうすぐ終わってしまうので、興味のある方はお急ぎください。
ダイビング中の水中撮影は、かなりの経験が必要です。
ダイビング中に生物の水中撮影に挑戦される方は多いと思います。しかし、水中撮影は意外と難しいと感じることでしょう。海中や湖中は意外と暗く、ライトが必須です。また撮影用のカメラも防水ハウジングと呼ばれる防水ケースに入れる必要があります。結果として、少々かさばる装備品を身に着けてダイビングすることになります。撮影時には、流れのある水中で、姿勢を保ちながら静止して撮影する必要があります。明るいライトを当てると逃げてしまう生き物もいることでしょう。撮影に挑戦した方の中には、ダイビング中は他の事を考えず、水中を楽しむために撮影しないという考えに変わる方もいるかもしれません。

There are many divers from Otaru City in Hokkaido to Jodogahama Beach in Iwate Prefecture, Sado Island, and Ishigaki Island in Okinawa Prefecture.
