水中ドローンで撮影した２色の海底(撮影地：真鶴岬)
水中ドローンで海底を撮影している時、少し不思議な海底の様子を見かけることがあります。その一つに、写真のような２色の海底があります。土色の岩場が突然白い砂地に変化する様子が映し出されています。普通の砂ではなく、沖縄などで見かける白い砂なので、とても不思議な海底写真となりました。水中ドローンで真鶴の海岸の磯場を撮影していた時に、見つかりました。意外と岸辺に近い所で撮影できました。
真鶴半島は港湾を除けば、ほとんど磯や岩場の海岸です。週末には多くの釣り客が訪れ、磯の釣りを楽しんでいます。磯ではクロダイや石鯛、カサゴ、メバル、ギンポなどが釣れます。夏は美しい青色のスズメダイの仲間などを見かけますが、釣れないようです。熱帯魚は釣れても食べる人は少ないと思うので嬉しい魚でも無いでしょう。しかし、美しい熱帯魚は水中ドローンで海中を撮影していると、綺麗な映像が取れるため、非常に嬉しいお客さんです。しかし、磯場と思っていた海が突然砂地に変わるので、キスやカレイ、ヒラメ、マゴチなども釣れる場所があるかもしれません。
白い砂はどこから来るのでしょう？
私は江ノ島の海底を水中ドローンで撮影したこともありました。しかし、どこまで行っても磯や岩場で、砂地になることはありませんでした。真鶴の海底で見つかった白い砂は、どこから来たのでしょうか？白い砂浜と言えば、沖縄など南の島を思い浮かべる人が多いと思います。沖縄の白い砂はサンゴの死骸などが細かく砕かれた物がほとんどです。一方、本州では、白い砂浜を作れるほど、サンゴが生育していません。本州にも「白い砂浜」はありますが、サンゴの死骸ではなく、花こう岩が細かくなった砂で出来ています。そのため、花こう岩が生産される土地の下流に白い砂浜が出来ることが多いです。
真鶴は本小松石を生産地です。しかし、本小松石は花こう岩ではなく安山岩の一種です。実際、本小松石は墓石に用いられる落ち着いた暗色系の石です。関東で花こう岩が採掘できる場所は茨城県で、神奈川県とはかなり離れています。真鶴海岸の白い砂地は、近隣の海や川とは関係が無いでしょう。
白い砂は、西側の海岸から流れ着いたのかもしれません。
白い砂浜はとても美しく、海水浴客にとって大変魅力的です。しかし、環境の変化から白い砂浜を維持できず、外国の白い砂を砂浜にまいて維持している海水浴場もあります。このような人工的にまかれた白い砂が、真鶴半島の沿岸にたどり着いたと予想されます。真鶴半島の熱海・湯河原側はほとんど海流がありません。そのため、たどり着いた白い砂が堆積したと考えられるでしょう。水中ドローンを使って、海底の様子を見てみると、魚などの生物だけでなく、地質学的な発見もあるかもしれません。当社では水中ドローンのレンタルを行っております。操作に必要なタブレットなど必要な物を一式そろえておりますので、特に何かを準備すること無く、直ぐに利用可能です。是非、ご検討をお願いします。

When shooting the seabed with an underwater drone, you may see a slightly strange seabed. One of them has a two-color seabed like the one in the picture. It shows how the earthy rocky area suddenly changes to white sand. It's not ordinary sand, but the white sand you see in places like Okinawa, so it's a very strange undersea photo. I found it when I was shooting a beach on the coast of Manazuru with an underwater drone. Surprisingly, I was able to shoot in a place close to the shore. Except for harbors, the Manazuru Peninsula is mostly rocky shores. Many anglers visit on weekends to enjoy shore fishing. You can catch black sea bream, stone snapper, scorpionfish, rockfish, and ginkgo on the shore. In summer, you can see beautiful blue damselfish and other species, but it seems that you can't catch them. I don't think many people eat tropical fish even if they catch it, so it's not a happy fish. However, beautiful tropical fish are a very happy customer because beautiful images can be taken when shooting underwater with an underwater drone. However, the sea that I thought was a rocky beach suddenly turned into sandy land, so there may be places where you can catch squirrels, flounder, flounder, and flatfish.
Where does white sand come from?
I have also photographed the seabed of Enoshima with an underwater drone. However, no matter how far we went, there were rocky beaches and rocks, and it never became sandy. Where did the white sand found on the bottom of Manazuru come from? Speaking of white sandy beaches, many people think of southern islands such as Okinawa. Most of the white sand in Okinawa is finely crushed coral carcasses. On the other hand, on Honshu, the coral does not grow enough to create a white sandy beach. Honshu also has white sand beaches, but they are not made of dead coral, but fine granite sand. As a result, white sandy beaches often form downstream of granite-producing land.
Manazuru is a production area of Honkomatsu stone. However, this komatsu stone is a kind of andesite, not granite. In fact, this Komatsu stone is a calm dark stone used for tombstones. In Kanto, the place where granite can be mined is Ibaraki Prefecture, which is quite far from Kanagawa Prefecture. The white sands of Manazuru Beach have nothing to do with the nearby seas and rivers.
The white sand may have washed up from the west coast.
The white sand beach is very beautiful and very attractive to beachgoers. However, due to changes in the environment, it is not possible to maintain the white sandy beach, so there are some beaches that maintain foreign white sand on the sandy beach. It is assumed that this kind of artificially sprinkled white sand reached the coast of the Manazuru Peninsula. There is almost no ocean current on the Atami/Yugawara side of the Manazuru Peninsula. Therefore, it is thought that the white sand that arrived was deposited.
