ゴールデンウィーク後半、海のレジャーに気を付けましょう。
ゴールデンウィークも前半が終わり、残り５連休となりました。この５連休の前半は天候が良い予報となっています。しかし、後半は天候が崩れ、全国的に雨の予報となっています。海へ釣りや磯遊びなどのレジャーを計画されている方は、波に気を付けましょう。特に前半の天候は良いのですが、遠く離れた低気圧からのうねりが押し寄せてくるので、意外に高い波がやってきます。
磯釣りをする方は、特に注意しましょう。
当社がある真鶴町では、多くの釣り人が磯釣りに来てくれます。特に三ツ石から磯崎、三石から尻掛、福浦の磯場が良い釣り場のようです。また、オオガクボも多くの釣り人が来ています。これら磯場は、港湾法に定められた「港湾区画」ではないので、自由に釣りができます。全く整備されていないので、自然そのままの磯場が広がっています。私も子供の時、メジナや石鯛を釣ったことがありました。ただ、波が磯を濡らしていることが多く、海藻が磯に付着しています。その結果、ゴツゴツした岩からは予想もできない滑りやすい所も出来てしまいます。磯場で足を滑らせると、そのまま海に落ちることもあります。海に落ちないまでも、岩に落ちてしまうと大けがをしてしまいます。実際、真鶴で消防のサイレンが鳴るとき、ほとんどが海や磯に落ちた人の救助です。初めて磯釣りをする方は、絶対救命胴衣を着て下さい。また、スマートフォンも防水ケースに入れておきましょう。万が一、海に落ちても、警察や救急に連絡ができます。防水ケースに入れておかないと、海に落ちた場合、スマートフォンは全く機能しなくなります。
水中ドローンも海が荒れていると利用できません。
飛行型ドローンが強風時、飛行できなくなるように、水中ドローンも波が高い場合や海流が速い場合、運転ができません。多くの水中ドローンは大体２－３ノットが最高速度となっています。そのため、海流が２ノットを超える場合、前進しても前進できないことがあります。秒速に変換すると、約１m／secです。水中ドローンの安全な運航のため、一つの目安にして下さい。ただ、港湾内ではそこまで海流が速くなることは稀です。また波も強くなることは無いので、荒天や台風が接近していない限り、水中ドローンの運転は可能です。湖の場合もまた、同様です。湖の場合、むしろ水の濁りが濃いことが水中ドローンの運転に支障を来たします。水の濁りが濃いと、湖底への接触事故や船への激突事故の危険があります。暖かくなると湖の濁りが濃くなるので、注意しましょう。

If you are planning to go to the sea for leisure activities such as fishing or playing on the shore, be careful of the waves. The weather is particularly good in the first half of the season, but the swells from the low pressure system that are far away come in, so unexpectedly high waves come.
Be especially careful if you are surf fishing.
In Manazuru Town, where our company is located, many anglers come to surf fishing. Especially, Isozaki from Mitsuishi, Shirukake from Mitsuishi, Fukuura seems to be a good fishing spot. In addition, many anglers come to Ogakubo. These rocky shores are not part of the "port section" stipulated by the Port Act, so you can fish freely. Because it is not maintained at all, the natural rocky beach spreads out. When I was a child, I used to catch porgies and sea bream. However, waves often wet the shore, and seaweed adheres to the shore. As a result, the rugged rock can create unpredictable slippery spots. If you slip on the beach, you may fall into the sea. Even if you don't fall into the sea, if you fall on a rock, you will be seriously injured. In fact, when firefighting sirens sound in Manazuru, most people are trying to rescue people who have fallen into the sea or shore. If you are fishing for the first time, be sure to wear a life jacket. Also, keep your smartphone in a waterproof case. In the unlikely event that you fall into the sea, you can contact the police or an ambulance. If you don't put it in a waterproof case, your phone will not work at all if it falls into the ocean.
Underwater drones cannot be used when the sea is rough.
Just as flying drones cannot fly in strong winds, underwater drones cannot operate when waves are high or ocean currents are fast. Most underwater drones have a maximum speed of about 2-3 knots. Therefore, if the ocean current exceeds 2 knots, it may not be possible to advance even if it advances. When converted to speed per second, it is about 1m/sec. Please use it as a guideline for safe operation of underwater drones. However, it is rare for ocean currents to be that fast in harbors. Also, the waves do not get stronger, so it is possible to operate an underwater drone unless there is a stormy weather or a typhoon is approaching. The same is true for lakes as well. In the case of lakes, the turbidity of the water rather hinders the operation of underwater drones. If the water is very turbid, there is a risk of contact with the bottom of the lake or collision with the boat. Be careful as the lake becomes more turbid as the weather warms.
